Strawberry Ginger Lemonade
It's strawberry season, and I LOVE strawberries! This is a sweet and refreshing drink that's perfect for a warm day.
Nutrition Highlights
▫️Strawberry: vitamin c, fiber, antioxidants.
▫️Ginger: anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, may aide with digestion.
▫️Lemon: vitamin C, antioxidants. INGREDIENTS:
▫️4 large ORGANIC strawberries (about 1 cup).
▫️The juice of 1 lemon
▫️1/2 (or more) tablespoon grated ginger
▫️1 tablespoon sweetener (optional)
▫️ 16 oz water
DIRECTIONS:
▫️ Add ginger to water and let soak for 15 minutes. Add ginger water and all other ingredients to a blender and blend until combined. Taste and adjust and re-blend as needed.
▫️ Strain through serve and enjoy!
NOTES:
▫️ I suggest organic strawberries since conventional strawberries tend to have more pesticide residues - yuk!
▫️Frozen strawberries work too, just be sure to thaw.
▫️ Straining is optional, if you like pulp, skip the straining step .
▫️ Dilute as needed for kids.
