Sweeten With Dates

Dates are often used as a natural sweetener for smoothies, pie fillings, and cakes. Since I use an unsweetened protein powder I add 2-3 dates to my smoothies for a touch of sweetness. Dates are also a good source of fiber and is a quick source of energy. Eat Well, Live Well

Kabocha Squash

Kabocha (or "pumpkin") is a versatile and nutrient dense squash. Kabocha is high in the antioxidants beta carotene and vitamin C, and it is a good source of iron, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Kabocha can be sliced roasted, pureed into a soup, or stewed with herbs and seasonings. Eat Well, Live Well.

Frozen Veggies Are A Life Saver!

Always keep a few bags of frozen vegetables in your freezer for a quick side dish or for a nutrient boost for your smoothie. Eat Well, Live Well.
